Emergency Mold Response at Glebe Park August 2008

On August 13, 2008, Alexandria EMS crews responded to Glebe Park Apartments in Arlandria. Officials on site at the time stated that conditions in the building were unsuitable for habitation. Later, City officials denied ever being there. After these pictures surfaced, Alexandria's public housing and public safety officials admitted the existence of the problems and relocated the women and children who were living in the adjacent apartments, albeit to other nearby units slated for demolition.

An Arlandrian's Excellent Parking Adventure

Footage shot by a neighborhood resident on a typical Saturday afternoon in Arlandria.

This video shows the extent to which on-street parking is occupied despite the large number of vacancies at Glebe Park and Beverly Park apartments.

Also highlighted is the traffic congestion in and around the neighborhood as well as the bottlenecks caused by pick-up and drop-off of residents who can't park close to their homes.

Channels 7 & 8 Rediscover Arlandria Rat Plague.

Here's an excerpt from the recent local TV news broadcast "Rats Plague Apartments, Inside and Out"

A rat infestation has residents of an Alexandria apartment complex asking that something be done, concerned the rodents will bring disease into their homes.

It's happening at the Presidential Greens Apartment Complex where tenants say they've been fighting the problem for years. Rat holes run under bushes and along the edges of the apartment.
